It's been almost a week since I last posted. I suppose my only excuse is "I never got around to it." I would like to say that there was something important going on in my life, but there's not. Now...what to blog about?
I'm going to postpone this. I'm angry. I don't want to spread my anger to you...

Probing the Depths of My Insanity
- One of my life's goals was to order expensive, imported water. I did. It was water, alright. Water. Just water. I've told that story on dates. If you can't handle that, you can't handle me.
- My esoteric sense of humor reaches four people. Including me.
- One of the qualities of a badass writer is his or her use of sentence fragments and inappropriately placed punctuation.
- I have a Dungeons and Dragons character named "Pants O'Callahan." Our adventuring party is "The Doubtfire Goons." Needless to say, this is our less-than-serious campaign. Stress relief at its finest.
- I blame my slight social awkwardness on the fact that I am an actor. I'm used to being told where to stand, and having the words I'm supposed to say written down for me.
- I also use the above to excuse myself when I can't stop talking.
- I am not eccentric. I am much too poor for that label.
...And finally,
I enjoy pen shopping.

At Least I Tried,,,
To break my trend of preachy, pretentious posts, I thought I'd write this. I can't say it will amount to much, but I can hope for a more light-hearted...
This is all I have...
It deviates so heavily from my style of writing I think it's a lost cause. And we've established that I'm an optimist, so if I'm labeling it a lost cause, it probably is.
Until tomorrow...

Unconventional Conventions of Things Mightier Than the Sword
I write without outlines. I write without planning of any sort, really. I've written entire plays off of one sentence that randomly popped into mind. You could call my process of writing unconventional. But writing is art. And in art, no finished product is arrived at conventionally. True, much of it is based on conventions. But all artists of any note have rearranged those conventions; combined them to fit their needs.

An Optimist's Skewed Perspective of Cynicism
If the title fails to accurately convey the general tone of this entry, then I've good reason to lose all faith in humankind. However, since I don't see this happening any time soon, my faith in our species will--for better or worse--remain intact.
Even those of us in a seemingly perpetual state of hermitage have friends. And those friends cause problems. In short, we all have friends, and those friends cause problems. It's a simple maxim that creates untold amounts of unnecessary, yet unavoidable complexities. These complications are the cause for the majority of our heartache, frustration, anger, etc. Yet in spite of all this, we continue to actively pursue relationships with other human beings.
Now, it would be uncharacteristically nihilistic of me to say that we should all remove ourselves from society. In fact, I believe quite the contrary... While friends are indeed the source of our problems, they are also the solution. A wordy oxymoron? Yes. The truth? Yes. But contradictions are the spice of life...
You cynics can have your depressive outlooks on life. As for me, I'll keep looking up. I may trip every once in a while, but where's the fun in life when all you're doing is looking for obstacles?
